SkyWatch Friday

Thanks to the SkyWatch Friday team: Klaus Sandy Wren Fishing Guy Louise Sylvia. To see SkyWatch images from around the world, click on the above icon.

This week I got a little carried away shooting morning and evening skies.

Above is a reflection in garage door window of sunrise. While heading out to shoot the mountains with clouds, this image caught my eye. So...of course, I had to quickly capture it. Reflections fascinate me. The rest of the images are self-explanatory and not taken "quickly."

Marvelous series of shots, Elisabeth! Like you, I do get carried away and just can't seem to stop clicking away when there is so much beauty available as there has been here in the northwest where I live and that's obviously true for you as well. Super reflection, too, another favorite of mine! Thanks for sharing the beauty. Enjoy a lovely weekend!

What gorgeous photographs of the sky! By the way I saw the most gorgeous moon this morning, way early this morning -- like 3 or 4 in the morning. I awakened to moon light streaming in my window. I looked out the window, and there was this HUGE moon that appeared as though it was just hanging in the trees across the street from my house. Did I jump out of bed, get dressed and set up my camera for what would have been a terrific photograph? NO! I was so tired; all I could do was drop back in bed and go to sleep. When I awakened for the day and remembered, I could have kicked myself! If I keep kicking myself for missed photographs (referring back to my eagle in a tree photograph), I'm going to be black and blue!

In that last photograph, to me, it looks like a birthing of a cloud is happening. Or could a cloud be ascending to the heavens? I get carried away with my imagination sometimes. Kewelopolis!
