SkyWatch--Approaching Storm

A grand thank you to our SkyWatch team. To see more SkyWatch images, click on the icon below:

We have been having storms and the other day, we could hear thunder rumbling in the distance. Light rays streamed through the clouds creating contrasts of light and dark.

Hooray!

Ordered a wonderful corduroy jacket with leather patches on the elbows for Gramps. When it arrived, there was a problem--Gramps' hands are huge. Couldn't figure out how to get his hands down those sleeves. Well, there is a lot to be said for buying the best. Today, examining the jacket (trying to solve the problem), I noticed that the four buttons at each cuff had REAL buttonholes. Unbuttoned the buttons and now Gramps is sporting his new jacket. Next week, when the turtlenecks arrive, he will be good to go. The Professor is almost done. I can hardly wait to begin working with him.

A Project A Day

Today's project: Make note cards and drop a line, or two, to friends and family.

Also: Continue sorting through books, cleaning out drawers and files in the office and around the cabin. If you don't use it...lose it...toss it...out it goes!Chunk It Down! Do not look at everything that needs to be done--that is overwhelming. One thing at a time...step by step.

Here we are again. Thanks to the SkyWatch team. To see more SkyWatch images, click on the icon above.

This week I didn't get out to shoot until early this morning. Somehow I missed the vibrant colors, but was able to catch clouds.

Gramps and Itsy

Gramps loves to tell Itsy stories and Itsy loves hearing them. Gramps is the newest member of our puppet and figure family.

Working on Facebook Pages

There is always more to learn and I have finally taken the plunge and am now posting on Facebook.

Today I plan on shooting several still life images (hopefully in black and white, or sepia). Black and white, as well as sepia are my favorite modes of expression. Can hardly wait to get started. Will post when images are completed.

Took photographs of Gramps and Itsy (two of my ventriloquist's puppets) last night and hope to get them posted here later today.

White and Light

Experimenting with light and white is endlessly fascinating. Like a coat of many colors, white surprises the viewer with a plethora of colors:

Fall mornings in the mountains are often unusual with the sun shining as fog rests in the nooks, crannies and valleys.
