Inside the Cabin -- Afternoon Tea

Today I decided to put away the things used in the Tea Time setup and there, right in front of me, was another image.  I stopped the cleanup, put-away project and grabbed my camera.

Please come in, put your feet up, make yourself comfortable and have a cup of tea, or coffee.   Welcome to my happy space.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Thank you Bob.  One dozen of the deepest, darkest red roses I have ever seen.  Gorgeous!

Cyclamen--A Flower of Endings and, For Me, Renewal

Today, as snow and ice move into the mountains of North Carolina, I need to be uplifted.  This little plant sits on a nearby table silently speaking to me. My job, my one and only job at the moment, is to  listen.

Day 39 -- Sunset -- A Subtle Magic

The sky was touched with a hint of pink last night.  The sunset was exciting to watch as clouds moved quickly across the sky.  Two geese flew by and I scrambled to get into a bird photographer's pose.   Note to self:  Shoot more birds in flight.

Day 38 --Sunset (2-7-2014)

Last night was delightful.  I love it when things turn out to be exactly right.  Last night everything worked--composition, timing, etc.

Day 36 -- Morning

Woke up to rain and heavy gray cloud cover.   Suddenly (right after the "official" sunrise), a break.  The clouds began to disappear and the sun came out.  Isn't it amazing?  Wait five minutes and things can change dramatically.
