Potatoes--a staple for survival. I love the simplicity of this shot. This image reminds me of Renaissance life and a less complicated time.

Yes, the simplicity and the lighting. Would love to see it in a larger version.
I love it, so simple but so artistic presented. Have a nice weekend.
You mentioned the renaissance: you use that kind of light and subject, only you have made it "simpler" and more modern.
Thank you for the comment :-)
Great composed image!
You are so good with those stillebens. You should collect the best of them, frame them and put them on the wall in a serie :)
I love your potatoes :) Have a great weekend :)
You've taken ordinary potatoes to extraordinary heights Elisabeth. Wonderful still life.
that a creative idea capturing simple things but turning it into a great work of photography
mine is here, hope u can visit
The Blessed Spud... at least no blight about in this cold.
Agghhh!!!! With simple images like this, I love to enlarge to soak up the detail - but it enlarges to the same size!! Boo hoo ...
You do still life so very well, Elizabeth. The burnish to the table in the foreground is a master-stroke.
I love this work.
A beautiful image, I love the simplicity of the photo. But like some others have said, I would love to enlarge it for more detail.
Thanks for visiting.
The Road to Here
Another beauty, Elizabeth. Simple and elegant.
What a great picture Elisabeth
Lovely image, not only because I love potatoes, but because the sepia touch is suited to it. And, you have captured the "feel" of the potatoes and the metallic dish they are resting in so well.
Nicely done. It looks ready to paint as well.
Very elegant as usual. You have a very distinctive approach to your still lives.
Looks like this photo was taken during the renaissance time indeed..using voigtlander prominent it seems.. ;)
YEA, you are featuring renaissance images again. You are definately Queen of light.
