Hawk Is Back and Clouds

Our hawk has returned and today he decided to peak at me. Next time perhaps he will turn around and "smile."

While out, turning around displayed dramatic clouds which I converted into a black and white image and one in sepia.

Hawk From Far Far Away

Fooled around with this hawk image which was taken with new lens. I like it because he is looking right at me. The hawk was at least a quarter of a mile away from the cabin. So, the image is soft. I am looking forward to getting closer to him soon. Sunny weather would be a big help too! Today our skies are heavily overcast.

Thanks to the SkyWatch Team: Klaus Sandy Wren Fishing Guy Louise Sylvia. To see sky images from around the world, click on the SkyWatch icon above.

Today is dreary, overcast and rainy. However, this week the sky was phenomenal. The camera even captured a distant hawk silhouette. Life Is Good!

Wow!

2010 in going to be a very good year. This morning a juvenile hawk came to our bird feeder. Got one halfway decent shot. Only one because the excitement level was high. Hate when that happens...I get so excited that I almost miss the shot.

Hawk Again

Keeping my eyes open for hawk. Lo and behold he showed up a little while ago. He landed in the walnut tree. Grabbed my point and shoot for some test shots. Will have to consider getting a more powerful lens at some point. However, for now, what I have will have to do.

Working on Digital Bromoil Again

Have been playing with hawk image (initially for use in an altered art project). Have pushed the envelope a bit and returned to my fascination with digital bromoil images.

Now I am on a mission... Determined to get a super image of hawk. A stronger lens may be the key. Will refine and post as the refinement progresses.

Skywatch--Season 4 Episode 11

What a surprise...Hawk arrived while I was out shooting clouds today.

The rains have stopped for the moment. How delightful it is to feel the sun's warmth and enjoy this fantastic fall day.

The Ever Elusive Hawk

Darn, am going to have to buy a stronger lens if I ever want a crisp image of THE HAWK. Removed the pic I took...hate to admit it, but it was awful. Was fun trying, however if you want to see our hawk go to http://eaglesbrothersgourdsandart.blogspot.com. I think he plans to post a photograph of it soon (hopefully today).

Am off to get a haircut and think about someday getting another lens.

Another Foggy Morning

This morning in a Photography chatroom, I was asked to do a high contrast photo of morning fog. (Please take note: my evasive hawk buddy is sitting in tree).
You all would have loved to see me shooting this morning. My old desk chair, was on the porch waiting to go next door since I am not using it in the office. So...this morning I rolled it down the driveway, plunked myself down in it and began comfortable shooting.

Our Elusive Hawk

Fog stayed around all day yesterday. It was fun watching the landscape disappear, then reappear. Between three and four o'clock, I decided to take a picture of the fading walnut tree. Here is the result, but this is only half of the story.

Suddenly, the hawk Bob (Eaglesbrother) is in love with, flew up from the brush and landed in the tree. I moved closer. CLICK...
And....................................................................hawk flew away.

Tomorrow is another day.
