Found these minature, framed dried flower arrangements in my prop drawer. Someone, in the past (1800s), had a wonderful hobby.

What A Wonderful Day!
Today, for the first time in a long time, I feel good. In fact, I feel so good I shot this morning's sunrise. So...good morning everyone and I hope you have a fanastic day!

After the Rain
After a heavy rain this week, fog set in (at sunset) as the moisture evaporated. The result: eerie, somewhat spooky scenes.

Joy for Today
Taking a photograph of pancakes, or griddle cakes, is a first for me. Online I have seen pics of what people have cooked and are going to eat. I, on the other hand, have never felt the desire to take that sort of photograph. However, this morning, as the butter melted and slid across those steaming flat cakes, I could not restrain myself and grabbed my iPhone to catch a buttery-rich moment. I can't believe I did that and I cannot believe I'm posting this pic either, but I am and...for some reason I can't stop smiling. Yum!

Refined Old Man Image
This image is one of my favorites. Capturing light is always challenging and I love Renaissance lighting and the look of that time. Wish I could add a velvet cape and hat and transport the old man into the 1500s.

Natural Crystal
For several years, I have been wanting to shoot some natural crystal pieces. Today is the day! I am pleased with the rainbow appearing and being captured as the crystal's inclusion refracted the light.

Snow????
While getting the car filled up with gas yesterday, I noticed this geometric/abstract image of snow on some storage facility roofs:
The result reminds me of a piano keyboard. Took this using my iphone and worked on it using downloaded itune apps. Is fun for me to play with images in my phone, although this does not compare to what one can do using Photoshop and a computer.

It is a New Year!
Wishing you a healthy, happy and prosperous New Year!
Am back to blogging a bit tonight...went to Physical Therapy today and was given a massage. I swear much of the neck pain I have been having is related to some sort of sinus/ear thing. Over the weekend and this afternoon, that stubborn blockage/ear thing started letting loose and I am beginning to feel much better. Yea! Let's hope this improvement continues until any uncomfortableness is gone forever.
I do so want to walk easily again and not have to scoot around stores leaning on a shopping cart. This walking condition has been happening and getting worse over the past couple of years. I wrote it off to "maturing," i.e. old age. Hopefully wearing good walking shoes, sitting up straight and exercising will help ward off this condition. I am wearing different shoes and working at improving my posture. The pain seems to be lessening.
I will post an image just as soon as I can. Not sure how others react, when under the weather, but I cannot do anything when I am not feeling good. I firmly believe that how a person feels shows up in their "art."
Looks like this year is going to be a good one! Am keeping my fingers crossed.
Tips for the day: Sit and stand up straight, get some exercise and wear good shoes! And...remember above all else: Stay positive!
