Reminiscing
Saw this old office, manual typewriter at a local antique mall. Sunday we picked it up, replaced the ribbon and began cleaning it up a bit. Since Sunday, I have been practicing my typing. Back in the Dark Ages, I learned to type on a similar machine. What a difference between then and now!

Heavy Mist and Fog
No visible sunrise this morning.
And, this means: I have to shoot a still life indoors, write. or create something (other than capturing the sunrise) today.

Sunset Last Night
Sometimes I say, "Wow!," and last night was one of those times. Finally, interesting clouds rolling in.

Windy
On the porch, one rocking chair is rocking all by itself. The other chair isn't doing that....hmmm...ghosties? It is really cold out there...brrrrr.

Sunset Gold
Lately early mornings have been cloudless, so tonight I took these shots just in case the clouds decide to stay away tomorrow at dawn. One image a day was the commitment...and I don't mind getting ahead of myself occasionally.

iPhone Onions
Playing Around with the Look of Old Printing Methods
Took this unusual rendition of onions last night and was surprised at the emerging textures and shimmering qualities.
Yesterday was a rainy day and I didn't see anything to shoot. Finally, this image presented itself late in the evening. So...I took it, of course..ta-da!

Rain, Rain Go Away
"Rain, rain go away
Come again another day..." --The first two lines of a rhyme dating back to the reign of Queen Elizabeth I (1533-1603).
My vow to do something creative every day this year takes a turn and heads in a different direction today. Rain has dampered the sunrise shooting routine. Instead, I will rummage through belongings deciding: What to keep? And...What to give away?
Simplicity is a major component in art and in life. Life reflecting art? Art reflecting life? Either way, simplicity rules.

Night Before Last
Sunset on Saturday, January 12. Dragged myself off the couch and went outside to take two shots of sunset. This is the best of the two.

Under the Weather
Tomorrow is another day. I may not be able to take a sunrise image. Tonight I am sick. Lots of liquids, etc. The sun will come up in the morning and I, at this point, plan on staying in bed.

Colors In Early Light
These crates caught my attention, first thing this morning, as the sun began to peek over the mountains. The color saturation was amazing for so early in the day.

Almost Too Late
Do you ever listen to the self talk going on in your head? Sometimes I do and this morning I had to laugh. I woke up a little late and was saying to the sun,"Wait....wait...wait for me." Like Grandfather Sun is going to say, "Okay...sure...take your time."

Here We Go--Another Wonderful Day!
Not much color this morning. I find it fascinating how no two sunrises are the same and this is true of sunsets also.

Venus
Good morning! Time to rise and shine. Venus is in the East perched over the mountain burning bright. To see Venus, in the first image, click to enlarge. How glorious it is to go out early and greet the day.

Every Day Is A New Day
Received an answer to the uploading of photos glitch. So I am able to upload the corrected image I had posted by mistake yesterday and make my blog post the way I want it, or almost. Whew!
My plan may be to possibly post a photograph a day for the next year. Running outside first thing in the morning every morning should be workable. Oh well, we shall see....

Cannot Upload Photographs
Something is broken and I cannot upload photographs from my computer. Hopefully this glitch will be fixed soon. Until it is fixed, my hands are tied. This blog is about photography and not being able to upload my images poses a serious problem. So...until a later time when this situation is resolved...take care and Happy New Year.
