Catching Up Again
Lordy, I am sooooo busy and the last thing I want is to fall behind with posting here. Below are recent iPhone images. All were edited using an iPad.

Catching Up
Oh my, I have fallen behind with my posting here...Yikes! Time to do a catch up. So...here we go:
Working with Procreate on my iPad, I was able to create a small painting and add handwritten notes.
Sunflowers in a crock. Taken with iPhone and edited using iPad. By the way, sunflowers are heavy.
Bowl of cherries painted using apps on iPad from iPhone image. I really like how this turned out.
iPhone image edited on Ipad with a look of moonlight.

Next, I shared on Facebook this watercolor that was painted in 7 minutes during what was to have been a 45-minute demonstration (back in the 70s while giving a watercolor workshop). Demonstrations would usually take 45 minutes. Seven minutes was a huge surprise for me.

Summer Delight
I find hats delightful and whimsical. Wearing one brings out the child in me. Perhaps they remind me of dressing up in my mother's high heels and pearls. So...when I saw my hat sitting propped up on our coffee table, I couldn't resist. I grabbed the iPad and took the shot. I am continually amazed at the quality achieved using these new devices.
STRAW HAT
Sunflower
The organic farmers next door gave me permission to take pictures of their sunflower field across the road. Last night we drove there and I experimented shooting with my iPad. Came home and called several apps into action. I am having so much fun with these processes. The older I get, the more I am enjoying traveling light.

Bringing You Up-To-Date
I am having a delightful time working with iPhone images. So many ideas...I can't keep up. This is how I love to create. Having too many ideas is much better than having none.

Time to Play
Today I was going to grab pencils and sketch. Instead I decided to use a photograph as a sketching tool. It feels good getting back into a painterly way of thinking.

Colors In Early Light
These crates caught my attention, first thing this morning, as the sun began to peek over the mountains. The color saturation was amazing for so early in the day.

Serendipity Twice in One Day
At Saturday's flea market, we unexpectedly met, for the first time, one of the partners associated with the antique sale where I found the Chinese Tang-style vintage/antique horse. What a pleasant surprise.
Also, found a fabulous old door complete with hardware. Old peeling paint, some dried moss, rust and texture galore. I couldn't believe my eyes. Spotted it from across a crowded parking lot and scurried over there as fast as possible. It is wonderful and I will post as soon as we get it dried out. While drying, it is getting lighter; however, a dolly may be necessary for moving here and there. I can hardly wait to shoot it alone and as a backdrop.

Having A Blast
Am taking a few days off to play. Yesterday I took pics of roses in low light with my iPhone and then added some texture. Oh, it was such fun! I am amazed at that quality of the images. Usually I shoot using Manual mode. Every now and then, it is good to simply let go and let the images fly.
