Creating Old Pages

Began playing with an old look. For me, writing is similar to drawing--the sweep of the pen and the curl of the letters. Do they teach penmanship in schools today? Years ago they did and the results often were phenomenal (especially during the 1800s).

Today students are allowed to hand in printouts from their computer for papers...Sigh..the empathize on handwriting is almost nil...

I loved learning to write in cursive and the entire expressive nature of a signature....

My dad had such beautiful handwriting. Sigh, gone are those days along with handwritten letters and postcards. Snail mail is out. email is in. Tomorrow what will that be?

Funny, as I read this I am writinng, yes handwriting a card to a friend who had some surgery. I did printout the card on the computer..I'm a card fanatic...:) I think handwriting is still alive and well..however, it could use a shot in the arm so to speak! Maria
